A patron must present a Council Bluffs Public Library issued library card/barcode or photo ID in order to check out materials.
New card holders are limited to 4 items checked out at any given time for a 60 day period from the issuance of a new card.
All library items may be renewed once if no reserves have been placed on the item by other library patrons.
Patrons with lost items will be assessed a processing fee of $7.50 per item in addition to the cost of the item.
Processing fees do not apply to board books, paperback and magazines. Replacement items are not accepted in lieu of payment.
Borrowing privileges are suspended when library fines or other charges exceed $10.
